Welcome to the interns of the BASE team

In spring 2026, the BASE team is proud to welcomme 11 interns. They experience formation by research and accompany us in our projects. Thanks a lot to all of them !

Genotype-Phenotype relationships Jihane (M2 Gen2E, UPSaclay) develops models and statistical analyses to understand the molecular bases of maize phenology. Cécile (L2 SdV, UPsaclay) wonders how to measure the age of a plant and its relationship with temperature.

Interactions with the environment Cécile (M1 BEE, UPSaclay) studies the role of maize phenology on the dynamics of insects populations. Baptiste (M2 Amélioration des plantes, AgroCampus Ouest) seeks the genetic determinants of the variation of metabolic fluxes within the maize leaf and their relation with a drought stress.

The Dynamics of Adaptation Lanah (Licence Professionnelle Biotechnologies) validates the function of genes supposed to regulate interference during yeast meiosis. Carine (L2 SdV UPSaclay) participates to an experimental evolution experiment to understand the role of recombination in evolution. Fatima (L2 SdV, UPsaclay) analyses an experimental evolution experiment on the bacteria E.Coli realized by L1 students.

Levures et bactéries

Cantien (M1, Université Toulouse) wants to know why Cirsium arvense from the Saclay plateau don’t show an equilibrated sex-ratio. Angela (L2 SdV, UPsaclay) thinks about the plant sampling strategy to best represent the genetic diversity within the populations. Sara (L2 SdV, UPsaclay) analyses the populations dynamics within the agricultural fields.
